GARBAGE!
Liam has a croupy cough and a runny nose. Last night, I wanted to give him some medicine...motrin and something for his cough so he could finally go to sleep. I debated between a couple different cough medicines and then found a "medicine strip" that is supposed to just dissolve on your tounge in seconds. Unfortunately, I went for that one and paid for it severely. He went on and on forever about "hurt... tongue" and used his blanket to wipe his tounge off. He even went as far as to grab my hand and say "spit...out" and proceed to spit a spit bomb into my hand. After a while, he looked at me straight in the eyes and said "YUCKY!" I said, "I know, I am sorry mommy gave you that medicine. I PROMISE it will never happen again!" He then said "Yucky...tounge...GARBAGE!" I guess that sums it up... our studies show that 1:1 toddlers do not recommend this product.
Side note: He also said a four word sentence yesterday. I was downloading songs for him on my Ipod and sampling one from the Doodlebops (I KNOW...they are gross...) over the computer. He just had my earphones in his ears since I was charging the music machine. The short sample ended and he looked at the earphones and then the silent computer, looked at me and stated: "Song...out...on...Liam!"

I am going to have to do two days worth...I got too busy yesterday. Justin and Nick have been out of town and with it being spring break, I have been trying to keep the other boys occupied. Anyway, here are my six...three for the 21st and three for the 22nd:
1. 11 years! I love you Justin! Happy anniversary!
2. egg salad sandwiches
3. Ben and Jerry's ice cream--I tried a new flavor: coconut 7 layer bar--delicious!
4. running into your family at unexpected places--like at the line to get into Discovery Gateway--hi Erika and Matt!
5. that Justin and Nick got home early from St. George!
6. down comforters

1. feeling refreshed--it is amazing what 17 hours of straight sleep will do for you!
2. Justin is on spring break!
3. Happy birthday Josh! I am so thankful for my brother-in-law! Thank you for all of your help with all of our car and household problems, especially when Justin is at school! You also have always been so awesome with the boys and they love you so much! Hope you have a great day!

Mom 1 Luke 0
I cannot believe that I actually won a battle with strong willed Luke. I had just put dinner on the table and placed a plate in front of a very skeptical 5 year old. He asks: "What IS this?" I told him that it was chicken enchiladas--I haven't made them since Andrew was little, so he had never had them. I also added that I KNEW he would like them if he tried them. The other boys were eating them up and trying to market them for me but Luke was staying strong. After about 20 minutes of bargaining, I brought out my last bartering tool--chocolate cake. I told him if he didn't eat at least 5 bites of his dinner, he would not get any cake. His strong facade was starting to crack. He took a minute amount of food on his fork, placed it in his mouth, and after chewing it stated in a rather dejected voice: "This is wonderful". The look on his face was priceless: he looked irritated but sheepish at the same time--rolled his eyes with a smirk on his face. He went on to finish off the enchilada and even saved room for his cake.

1. ice cream
2. that my kids are doing well in school (just had parent-teacher conferences) and that I am not the only one who thinks they are good kids
3. sunsets

Oven barbeque ribs
Oven Barbeque Ribs
Pork ribs-about 12-15 (I went to Costco and bought one huge thing of ribs for about $18 and there were about 22ish in the rack and that worked great. It makes two full pans.)
Sauce:2 1/4 cup ketchup
2 1/2 T. Wor...sauce (do you know what I'm talking about?)
3/4 t. ground red pepper (I didn't have this)
3/4 t. chili powder (I didn't have this either)
1/2 c. white wine or red wine vinegar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
6 minced garlic cloves
1 c. water
Brown the ribs in a pan. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over ribs in a 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 275 degrees for 4-5 hours. Turn occasionally and baste with sauce. Delicious!

Although I am not a huge fan of cleaning, I realize that it must be done. These are three of my favorite things I am grateful for or else I would be cleaning 24/7!
1. My washing machine. (Could you imagine doing loads and loads of laundry by hand?)
2. My dishwasher. (Ditto comment above but add dishes...)
3. The Magic Eraser...need I say more?
