*it's what fun is*

After some technical difficulties with our internet at home, I am finally up and blogging again. And boy, do I have a lot to catch up on.

Once we returned home from our vacation we decided to spend some quality time with Justin's family at Lagoon.

We hadn't been in a few years and the boys had been begging to go for months.

Luke and Liam were excited to go on the big swing ride just like at Liberty Park. It was the first ride we hit.

The boys then spotted the Tidal Wave and Liam hopped on just like a big boy. My heart was not ready for this transition and was fluttering rapidly as he climbed up into his seat. I was relieved a bit to see that Justin headed toward the middle of the ride and not to the ends to gradually initiate him into the "exciting" rides.

I had nothing to worry about. He loved it.

It also sparked a voracious need for speed which was squelched by his height. He was just about an inch too short to be admitted onto all the rides that tempted his inner beast. I think I am getting to old to ride those things with all the jolting and strange ways the body becomes contorted as you are whipping around corners and going upside down. I was done after riding just a few so I was secretly relieved when he was not allowed on. Luckily, the daredevil in him was pacified by some of the mid size rollercoasters.

It made me happy that the sweet little boy in him still felt the need to be little for a minute.

We had a glorious time playing the day away.

This was Liam's first time on the bumper cars. It was love at first bump.

Andrew randomly ran into one of his best friends who was unfortunately moving to Missouri the very next day.

One of the best decisions we made was to let Nick invite one of his good friends. They were off doing their own thing all day long. They rode the Rock O Plane seven times in a row and finally got it to spin around. I don't know if Justin and I would be able to handle that kind of abuse.

They would periodically meet up with us when it was convienient for them. Like when we were handing out food or money.

They did honor us with their presence on a couple rides though.

Waiting to ride The Rocket. After this picture, cute Halle glanced up at the ride and was brave enough to realize that this was not the ride for her and bowed out gracefully.

The men however enjoyed it thoroughly.

I love these pictures just for the fact that the boys look so carefree and happy. I love that they are living in the moment being spontaneous and letting the joy of what they are experiencing fill their little souls.

Thank you, Lagoon. It had been too long.

It looks like you had a lot of fun. The boys faces are priceless on all the rides. So happy.
